Chandpur’s rising football prodigy Sohan, widely known as the “Messi of Bangladesh,” arrived at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) on Thursday, creating a wave of excitement among everyone present at the country’s premier sports institute.
BKSP Director General Brigadier General MD Munirul Islam welcomed Sohan and his father for a courtesy meeting. During the interaction, he inquired about Sohan’s well-being and discussed his early football journey. The Director General later accompanied Sohan to the field, where he watched the young talent showcase his football skills. He even joined Sohan in a brief ball control session, enjoying the promising youngster’s natural flair.
The Director General informed that Sohan would first undergo a trial-based training programme at BKSP. A decision regarding his inclusion in the regular training structure will be taken after further assessment. He assured that BKSP would provide full support to help shape Sohan into one of the country’s finest future footballers.
Sohan has been accommodated at the BKSP girls’ hostel, and he will train under the supervision of football coach Achiya Khatun, ensuring proper care and guidance.
